Saline Tattoo Removal — A Fresh Start for Old Permanent Makeup
Not every permanent makeup result turns out the way you hoped. Saline removal gently lightens or removes unwanted brow pigment — the first step toward corrected, natural-looking brows or simply letting your natural brows grow in.

Saline removal uses a high-concentration saline solution applied to the skin with a tattoo machine or manual tool. The saline draws pigment up and out of the skin through osmosis. It is gentle, well suited to cosmetic pigments, and works on microblading, powder brows, and old brow tattoos.
Saline removal is for clients whose microblading faded to the wrong color, whose brow shape or placement was poorly designed, who carry old brow tattoos from years ago, or who want old pigment lightened before a corrective treatment. Some clients simply want the old tattoo gone — removal supports that goal too.
Your appointment begins with a full consultation. Katy assesses your existing brows — the age of the original procedure, pigment depth, pigment type, and your skin — then sets realistic expectations and designs a removal plan before any treatment begins. Numbing cream is applied beforehand to keep you comfortable; most clients describe the sensation as comparable to the original procedure.
Healing is similar to the original procedure: the treated area will be red and may form a light scab. Keep the area dry, avoid sun exposure, and let healing happen naturally. Most clients require several sessions spaced about 8 weeks apart for significant lightening — Katy will give you a realistic expectation for your specific situation at your consultation.
If you choose to follow removal with fresh brows, the required 6–8 week perfecting touch-up for new brow work is billed at $100 — it is a separate, required session, never included in the initial price.
