Blade & Shade — The Best of Both Brow Techniques

Blade & Shade (also called combo brows) blends two techniques in one appointment: microblading hair strokes at the front of the brow for natural realism, and soft powder brow-style shading through the body and tail for added density and definition. The result reads natural up close and polished from across the room.

Blade & Shade is best for clients with uneven or sparse brows who want a natural look with added density and dimension — and it suits a wider range of skin types than microblading alone, because the shaded portion holds well even in oiler skin.

Your appointment runs 2–3 hours and includes a full consultation, brow mapping and design approval, numbing cream application, the procedure itself, and an aftercare review. You approve the mapped shape before any pigment is applied — never one-shape-fits-all.

Initial healing takes about 7–10 days: the brows appear darker at first, then soften to a natural shade. Full healing takes 6–8 weeks. The required 6–8 week perfecting touch-up is billed at $100 as a separate, required session — it is never included in the initial price.
